Project Future: Tracking Progress

Project Future is a 5 year programme of public sector reform, which was launched in November 2015, by the Premier and the Deputy Governor.

Chart 1: Summary Status of Projects as at October 2017 (1 year and 11 months into implementation)

As at October 2017, the programme consisted of 53 individual projects. As chart 1 shows:

  • 12 projects are closed.
  • 24 projects are in progress, for various phases, 6 of which are in the execution phase and 4 are in closing.

In addition:

  • 4 projects have been paused, at the direction of Cabinet or the Project Future Steering Committee.
  • 4 projects have been stepped-down and removed from Project Future at Cabinet’s (or Transformation Leadership Team) direction.
  • 9 projects have not yet progressed (no activity was anticipated prior to May 2017 in the Programme Brief).

August 2017 RevisedAs at August 2017, the programme consisted of 53 individual projects. As chart 2 shows:

  • 12 projects  are closed.

  • 1 project is closed.
  • 43 projects are in progress, at various phases, 11 of which are in the execution phase.

In addition:

  • 9 projects have not yet progressed (no activity anticipated prior to May 2017 in the Programme Brief).

Chart 5: Summary Status of Projects as at May 2016 (6 months into implementation)

May 2016 (Revised)As at May 2016, the programme consisted of 57 individual projects. As chart 5 shows:

  • 1 project is closed.
  • 38 projects are in progress, at various phases, 7 of which are in the execution phase.

In addition:

  • 1 project has been stepped-down and removed from Project Future at Cabinet’s direction.
  • 17 projects have not yet progressed.
